Job Overview
I need someone that either has window experience or is capable of learning. If you have experience and can install a window right, you’ll get 25/hr. If not I’ll start you out at $20/hr. I’ll train you and up your pay as you learn and can work without oversight. I can eventually pay you per window, if you’d like. We do new construction and R&R’s. We’re going to be on different jobsites around Sarasota and Charlotte counties.

Duties
- Assist with the installation of windows, glass materials, doors, and fixtures according to construction plans and technical drawings
- Measure dimensional specifications accurately to ensure proper fit and function of installed components
- Handle glass materials safely, including cutting, fitting, and securing glass panels during installation
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly, fabrication, and finishing tasks
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project requirements and specifications
- Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks necessary for glass handling and construction site work
- Apply caulking, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing techniques to complete installations with precision
- Support remodeling projects by assisting with demolition, fixture installation, and site cleanup
- Maintain safety standards on-site by following proper procedures for glass materials handling and tool use
Qualifications
- Prior experience in construction, carpentry, or remodeling is highly preferred
- Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, measurement techniques, and quality control processes
- Ability to handle glass materials safely and perform glass installation tasks effectively
- Experience with door installation, fixture mounting, caulking, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing is a plus
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials regularly, perform demanding tasks on construction sites and deal with the heat
- Strong attention to detail for measurements and quality assurance during installation processes
- Handyman experience or related skills in fabrication and remodeling are advantageous
