Johnson Block & Company is seeking an experienced Audit Supervisor to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing larger, more complex audit engagements, directing staff, reviewing work for accuracy and completeness, and keeping managers and partners informed on the status of engagements. The Audit Supervisor plays a key leadership role in helping ensure deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met while strengthening client relationships and supporting the development of staff.

Some of the primary responsibilities for this position include:

Managing audit, review, and compilation engagements

Planning engagement objectives and audit strategy

Reviewing complex work
-
Mentoring and training staff and interns

Managing monthly billings
-
Preparing client correspondence
-
Improving processes
-
Supporting recruiting and business development efforts

Maintaining strong communication with staff, managers, partners, and clients.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

2–3 years of in-charge experience

CPA preferred

Strong leadership and organizational skills

The ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment

Experience with Microsoft Office and accounting software such as CCH and Creative Solutions is also important.
