Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Warehouse Manager to oversee all aspects of warehouse operations within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, optimizing processes, and leading a team to ensure efficient distribution and supply chain management. This role requires strong leadership skills, expertise in logistics systems, and a comprehensive understanding of supply chain dynamics to support organizational growth and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance management to ensure high productivity and safety standards.
- Oversee inventory management, including inventory control, cycle counting, and accurate record-keeping using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Manage transportation planning and logistics coordination for inbound and outbound shipments, including freight, shipping & receiving, and dispatching activities.
- Implement process improvements utilizing Lean methodologies and continuous improvement strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with 3PL providers, NVOCCs, and freight carriers to optimize transportation management systems and ensure timely delivery.
- Oversee procurement, purchasing, materials management, and fleet management activities to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce costs.
- Develop and manage budgets related to warehouse operations, demand planning, production planning, and supply chain analytics.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all staff.
- Utilize supply chain management tools to analyze data for process optimization and operational decision-making.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision with strong leadership capabilities in supervising teams.
- Extensive knowledge of supply chain management, inventory management, warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics operations.
- Expertise in transportation management systems (TMS), transportation planning, freight forwarding (including NVOCC), procurement, purchasing, dispatching, order fulfillment, and fleet management.
- Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies such as Lean and continuous improvement strategies.
- Proficiency in demand planning, production planning, materials management, and supply chain analytics.
- Ability to manage budgets effectively while controlling costs related to warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes including shipping & receiving, inventory control, forklift operation, and warehouse distribution systems.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to optimize logistics workflows using modern tools like ERP systems.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external partners across the supply chain network. Pay: $72,000.00 - $98,000.00 per year
