Katana has been serving Miami for 33 years and is looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Host/Hostess to join our team at our newest location on Coral Way. We are a fast-paced, high-volume Japanese restaurant, and our host/hostess is the first impression every guest receives.

Responsibilities include:
- Welcome guests with a warm and professional attitude
- Manage the long waitlist and accurately quote wait times
- Answer the phone and assist with guest inquiries
- Seat guests efficiently while coordinating with servers and management
- Keep the entrance and waiting area clean and organized
- Assist with takeout and delivery orders when needed
- Communicate effectively with the front and back of house teams
- Help maintain a smooth flow of service throughout the evening
- Assist with parking when needed
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Friendly, positive, and professional attitude
- Able to stay calm and organized during busy dinner rushes
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
- Restaurant experience is preferred but not required, we're happy to train the right person (we welcome those with sales background)
- Must be able to stand and walk for the full shift (6 hours)
Schedule
- 5:30pm - 11:30pm
- Full-Time and Part-Time positions available
