Director of Maintenance - Nursing Home
Located in Queens, NY
Salary: $80K to $100K range (based on experience)
Currently looking for a qualified professional with nursing home experience to fill an opening for a Director of Maintenance with a privately owned long-term care facility located in Queens, NY.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all maintenance department operations & personnel
- Regular inspections of the facility, for safety, upkeep, appearance & equipment performance
- Supervise and assign maintenance staff responsibilities and schedules
- Schedule & ensure completion of all maintenance & repairs
- Provide oversight of maintenance/repairs & ensure contracted services are completed in a timely fashion
- Maintains records of all repairs, preventative maintenance, warranties, and inspections
- Coordinating department operations, budgets, and monitoring expenditures
- Ensure all maintenance work is in accordance with State/Federal & OSHA standards
Requirements:
- Must have Director of Maintenance experience in nursing home setting
- Must be extremely hands-on with knowledge of maintenance
- Strong maintenance skills
- Possesses the mechanical skills necessary for accomplishing repairs on systems and buildings
- Understands the practices surrounding proper handling of biohazardous waste
