The Center for Diversity & Inclusiveness is seeking a federal aid recipient for student employment. This position will be funded by federal work study dollars; only students that receive financial aid awards can be considered for this position. CDI Ambassadors are undergraduate students who work in the Center for Diversity and Inclusiveness Office. CDI Ambassadors are students who are passionate and excited about social justice, diversity, equity, inclusion, and involvement. The responsibilities of a CDI Ambassador shall include:
- Collectively plan one educational or social program a semester.

Welcome all guests into the office and ensure that guests are signing in with their Onecard information.

Maintain the office space by answering phones professionally and ensuring common areas are cleaned, wiped down, organized, and fully stocked after each shift.

Routinely check CDI Office email and redirect emails to the professional staff.

Connect faculty, staff, students, and visitors with the appropriate resources within our center or elsewhere on campus.

Maintain a respectable office environment which includes creating a sense of belonging for anyone visiting and or participating in CDI events.

Build relationships with the current Student Organizations that are advised in the CDI Office which includes; the African Student Association (ASA), Black Student Union (BSU), Caribbean Student Association (CASA), Latin American Student Organization (LASO), Gay Straight Alliance (GSA), First Love Organization, and the Asian American Pacific Islander Association (AAPIA).

Keep social media accounts updated by sharing current and relevant information about office initiatives.

Attend staff meetings and required training(s).

Assist with the setup, breakdown, and cleanup of CDI events, and support event check-in and attendee registration during scheduled shifts.
Job Requirements:

Must be currently attending Fitchburg State University as an undergraduate student.

Must possess federal work-study.

Must be willing to learn about diversity, equity, and inclusion issues.

Must be able to lift 50 Ibs.

Flexible work schedule required.
Additional Information:
Shift Information: The Center's operating hours are from 8 AM - 9 PM (EST). CDI Ambassador schedules will be determined based on availability and class schedules. Hourly rate for this position is $15.00.
