Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, and/or mental health challenges. This role involves supporting residents in their daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in home and community care settings, possess strong caregiving skills, and demonstrate a genuine commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those served.
Duties
- Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide medication administration and monitor vital signs in accordance with care plans
- Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs
- Implement and follow personalized care plans tailored to each individual's needs
- Assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident transfers
- Observe and document patient conditions, reporting any changes to healthcare professionals
- Engage residents in social activities and promote community involvement
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping and sanitation tasks
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
Experience
- Prior experience preferred but not required- training provided
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, is highly valued

- Familiarity with care plans and documentation procedures related to patient care is a plus
