Required Qualifications
-
Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
-
Experience with long-term care and /or geriatric care is preferred

Must pass a criminal background check

Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Must have the patience, empathy, and compassion needed to care for elderly patients

Ability to work cooperatively with other healthcare professionals
Major Duties and Responsibilities
-
Proved direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation.

Administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patient’s capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician.

Document and record the patients’ condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate physical therapy method.

Educate patients and their families on strategies to improve daily living skills and promote overall health.

Collaborate with physicisans, nurses,and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.

Participate in patenet care meetings and contribute to team discussions on best practices and treatement outcomes.
