Duties
- Greet customers warmly, offering assistance and answering questions about products and store layout
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement
- Assist with merchandising and stocking shelves to keep displays attractive and organized
- Handle cash register operations including cash handling, cashiering, and basic math calculations accurately
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when taking orders or answering inquiries from customers or vendors
- Support upselling efforts by recommending complementary products to increase sales opportunities
- Supervise junior team members during shifts, ensuring smooth daily operations and excellent customer service
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership and team coordination skills
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customer bases effectively
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain product features and store policies
- Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math essentials
