Responsibilities
- Engage in outside sales activities by prospecting new clients through networking, community events, telemarketing, and marketing campaigns.
- Conduct thorough client consultations to assess their insurance needs and recommend suitable life, health, property casualty, or commercial insurance products.
- Negotiate policy terms and premiums with clients to secure mutually beneficial agreements while ensuring compliance with insurance regulations.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing ongoing support, policy reviews, and updates to enhance client satisfaction and retention.
- Manage sales administration tasks using CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools to track leads, follow-ups, and policy details efficiently.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes such as HIPAA and insurance laws, and product knowledge including health, life, property casualty, and benefits administration.
- Collaborate with insurance carriers and underwriters to facilitate seamless policy issuance and claims processing.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in outside sales, retail sales, telemarketing or related roles with a focus on client communication.
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with excellent analysis skills to evaluate client needs effectively.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for engaging diverse populations.
- Knowledge of commercial insurance products as well as health and life insurance is preferred.
- Familiarity with insurance regulation standards such as HIPAA compliance is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems for sales tracking and customer relationship management.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and deliver clear information about complex insurance options.
- Prior experience in sales administration or benefits administration will be advantageous.
- Demonstrated understanding of property casualty insurance policies and marketing strategies to expand client base.
