Barback – Zesti Food Carts & Bar
Job description
Zesti Food Carts is looking for a reliable, fast-paced barback to support our bar team during events and busy service hours. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a lively environment and takes pride in keeping things organized, stocked, and running smoothly behind the scenes.
The barback works closely with bartenders to ensure the bar is clean, fully stocked, and ready to serve guests efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Restock beer, wine, liquor, mixers, and garnishes throughout service
- Refill ice bins and maintain ice supply
- Collect and wash glassware
- Keep bar areas clean and organized
- Remove trash and recycling as needed
- Assist bartenders with basic prep tasks (cutting fruit, stocking garnishes, etc.)
- Help with opening and closing duties
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards behind the bar
- Sweep and mop the floors as needed
- Wipe down tables between guests
- Move tables and chairs in preparation for events
- Support bartenders during high-volume service
Qualifications
- Ability to work quickly and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs (cases of beer, ice, tables, chairs, etc.)
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
- Previous bar, restaurant, or hospitality experience is required
- Must be 21+
Schedule
- Primarily evenings and weekends
- Event-based shifts with potential for regular weekly hours
