Experienced Dental Assistant – Prosthodontic Specialty Practice

Our established prosthodontic practice is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team. Our small size and relaxed pace enables us to provide a comfortable atmosphere for patients and staff alike. We focus on getting to know our patients and improving their lives through a quality dental experience and specialty-level care. Our referral-based practice focuses on fixed and removable prosthodontics with a high percentage of our procedures involving dental implants.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys complex restorative dentistry, values precision, and is interested in expanding their skills beyond chairside assisting into the laboratory side of prosthodontics.
Responsibilities
- Assist the prosthodontist during a wide range of restorative and implant procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment.t
- Take digital radiographs, impressions, and clinical photographs.
- Educate patients on treatment plans and post-operative care.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols.
- Coordinate with dental laboratories.
- Order dental supplies and manage inventory.
- Assist with front desk as needed.
- Assist with in-office laboratory procedures such as pouring and trimming casts, fabricating various trays and baseplates, and other laboratory tasks as experience allows.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of dental assisting experience preferred
- Experience in prosthodontics, restorative dentistry, or implant dentistry is a plus
- Willingness to learn and participate in the laboratory aspects of prosthodontic care
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Outstanding communication and patient care skills
- Current Minnesota dental assisting certification
