Arcade Technician – $27–$35/hr
San Diego's Largest Arcade Needs a Technician Who Can Actually Fix Games.
Arcade Monsters San Diego is looking for a highly capable Arcade Technician to help maintain and repair one of the most impressive arcade collections in the country. With over 200 games spread across two floors, this is not an entry-level position. We need someone who can diagnose problems quickly, solve them correctly, and keep our games earning.
If you know your way around a multimeter, can troubleshoot boards without guessing, and aren't afraid of soldering irons, schematics, and complex repairs, we want to hear from you.

Our San Diego location is our sixth and most ambitious venue, featuring an unmatched collection of retro classics, pinball machines, rhythm games, fighters, racers, modern attractions, and rare imports.
Beyond the games, every location is a visual experience with custom blacklight artwork, anime murals, themed drinks, food service, and exclusive Japanese merchandise.
What You'll Be Doing
- Diagnosing and repairing arcade machines, pinball machines, rhythm games, and modern attractions
- Using multimeters and diagnostic equipment with confidence and accuracy
- Performing board-level repairs including capacitor, IC, connector, and solder work
- Repairing cold solder joints, cleaning connectors, reseating components, and reflowing edge connectors
- Conducting LCD conversions while maintaining a professional appearance and quality standards
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues across a wide variety of arcade platforms
- Identifying and sourcing replacement parts
- Performing preventative maintenance before issues become downtime
- Keeping one of the largest arcade floors in California operating at peak performance
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Prior arcade, pinball, amusement, electronics, or comparable technical repair experience
- Strong soldering skills
- Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
- Experience working with PCBs, power supplies, and electronic components
- Ability to work independently and solve problems without constant supervision
Bonus Points For:
- Pinball repair experience
- Arcade restoration experience
- Knowledge of JAMMA, classic arcade hardware, and rhythm games
- A genuine passion for arcade culture and gaming
