Job Summary
Self Expression Therapy Services is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and client-centered Mental Health Therapist to join our growing behavioral health practice as a 1099 Independent Contractor. This fully remote position offers the flexibility to build and manage your own caseload while providing high-quality virtual mental health services to individuals, couples, and families across Texas.
We are looking for clinicians who are passionate about helping clients navigate life's challenges through evidence-based, culturally responsive care. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, empathy, strong clinical judgment, and a commitment to delivering exceptional behavioral health services.
Spanish-speaking clinicians are strongly preferred to better serve our diverse client population.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and clinical evaluations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on each client's needs, strengths, and treatment goals.
- Provide individual, couples, family, and/or group therapy using evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Treat clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress-related disorders, grief, relationship concerns, life transitions, behavioral challenges, and other mental health conditions.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with HIPAA, ethical standards, and agency policies.
- Provide telehealth services through a secure virtual platform.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, case managers, and other healthcare professionals as needed to coordinate care.
- Participate in clinical consultation and team meetings as appropriate.
- Respond appropriately to crisis situations and implement safety planning when clinically indicated.
- Maintain current licensure and complete continuing education requirements.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
- Active Texas license (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Licensed Psychologist) or associate-level license recognized by the State of Texas.
- Experience providing psychotherapy in an outpatient or telehealth setting preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Experience
- Experience providing telehealth services.
- Experience working with diverse populations across the lifespan.
- Knowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches, including:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
- Motivational Interviewing (MI)
- Trauma-Informed Care
- Experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Compensation
- $40–$60 per hour, based on licensure status and clinical experience.
- 1099 Independent Contractor position.
- Flexible scheduling.
Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
