We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Clinical/Forensic Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary mental health team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments, psychological testing, and diagnostic evaluations for diverse client populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
- Provide evidence-based psychotherapy using modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, and behavioral health interventions tailored to individual needs.
- Offer specialized forensic evaluations related to competency assessments, risk assessments, and legal proceedings within the criminal justice system.
- Deliver crisis intervention services promptly and effectively to individuals experiencing acute mental health crises or trauma-related disorders.
- Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions focused on mental health diagnostics, addiction counseling, autism spectrum disorders support, and PTSD care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and legal personnel—to develop comprehensive treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices.
- Supervise clinical staff when applicable and contribute to ongoing research initiatives aimed at improving mental health outcomes.
- Utilize telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions while ensuring patient privacy and adherence to all regulatory standards.
- Support clients with disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders through tailored interventions that promote functional independence and well-being.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology or Forensic Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure or certification as a licensed psychologist in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, or individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder.
- Proven expertise in conducting mental health assessments, psychological testing, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Strong background in evidence-based interventions including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychotherapy, trauma-informed care, and addiction counseling.
- Experience working in inpatient or outpatient settings with diverse populations; hospital experience preferred.
- Demonstrated skills in crisis intervention and managing trauma-related disorders effectively.
- Familiarity with telehealth therapy platforms and delivering services via telehealth modalities.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, clinical ethical guidelines, medical records management, and confidentiality standards.
- Supervisory experience is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to mentor junior staff is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage clients empathetically while maintaining professional boundaries.
