About the Role
A leading digital marketing organization is conducting a confidential search for an experienced and strategic Director of Paid Search to lead a high-performing Paid Search department. This is a leadership-first opportunity for someone with a proven track record of building, coaching, and developing successful teams while driving exceptional client results across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, YouTube, and other paid search platforms.
We're looking for a collaborative, data-driven leader who can transform insights into strategy, empower team members to perform at their best, and align paid search initiatives with broader business objectives. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, operational excellence, and strong people leadership.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable optimizing campaign performance, mentoring team members, establishing best practices, and presenting strategic recommendations to executive leadership and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive paid search strategies across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, YouTube, and emerging advertising platforms.
- Lead the overall Paid Search department, driving operational excellence, strategic direction, and continuous improvement.
- Coach, mentor, and develop Paid Search team members through regular feedback, performance management, career development, and training initiatives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
- Oversee recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and talent development within the Paid Search team.
- Manage department workload, resource planning, and team performance to ensure client success and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the end-to-end campaign lifecycle, including keyword strategy, ad creation, testing, budgeting, optimization, and reporting.
- Analyze campaign performance and translate complex data into clear, actionable business recommendations.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and clients while serving as a trusted strategic advisor.
- Collaborate closely with SEO, Creative, Client Success, Analytics, and Executive Leadership to deliver integrated marketing strategies.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, platform updates, automation tools, AI advancements, and emerging best practices.
- Utilize CRM and lead management platforms to connect campaign performance with qualified leads, revenue, and ROI.
What You'll Bring
- 7–9 years of progressive people management experience, including coaching, mentoring, hiring, performance management, succession planning, and team development.
- Extensive experience leading Paid Search strategy within an agency or high-growth marketing environment.
- Demonstrated success building, developing, and retaining high-performing marketing teams.
- Deep expertise in Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, YouTube Ads, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), and paid search optimization.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to transform marketing data into strategic business decisions.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with experience influencing executive stakeholders and clients.
- Proven experience managing large advertising budgets and delivering measurable lead generation results.
- Experience within lead generation, home services, or other service-based industries is strongly preferred.
- Google Ads certification and agency experience are preferred.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
