Summary/Objective
A Design Specialist 3 at WSA is an integral part of the success of our partnership model. As the person responsible for connecting the design idea and the documents, this role works primarily on design solutions and the production of construction documents, in addition to supporting project architects in reaching client goals. This role requires innovative thinking, technical acumen, flexibility, adaptability, natural curiosity, and a self-starter attitude.
Essential Functions
- Conceptual design solutions in response to programmaticals
- Project drawing and technical production
- Develop full construction drawings for review
- Developing system details
- Leading/co-leading client meetings
- Supporting a code review process
- Printing/preparing document sets for client meetings
- Being proactive to engage in self improvement
- Collaborating and communicating with both project architects and other design specialists to create cohesion and concise direction
- Mentoring, collaborating, and coordinating the work of design specialist 1s and 2s

Education and Experience
- Professional degree in Architecture, a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or 10+ years of experience
- Licensed Interior Designer, Licensed Architect or on their way to Licensure is preferred
- AXP candidate OR NCIDQ candidate
- Experience working on a team
- Experience using Revit, Lumion, Illustrator, InDesign, and other Adobe Creative Cloud applications
Other Duties
- Supported cross-functional teams with ad hoc administrative and operational tasks
- Assisted management with special projects as needed, improving workflow efficiency
- Adapted to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
Administrative Details
Salary, Exempt.
$65,000-$80,000/year
Reports to Design Manager and Principals
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
