Responsibilities
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual needs and develop customized treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain procedures, gather feedback, and ensure comfort throughout each session.
- Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, patient progress, and any relevant medical or physiological information.
- Adhere to all safety protocols including CPR certification and proper sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in massage therapy techniques and physiology knowledge to continually enhance your skills.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary to support comprehensive patient care and pain management strategies.
Experience
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification in CPR.
- Must have at least 1 year experience.
- Proven experience in providing various massage modalities such as Swedish massage, deep tissue therapy, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical or occupational health treatments.
- Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology to accurately assess patient needs and deliver effective therapy.
- Prior experience working in a med spa or clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent client communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to pain management and injury rehabilitation is advantageous.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence with a passion for helping clients improve their health and well-being.
