Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and mixers
- Follow food safety protocols and handle food with proper hygiene practices to prevent contamination
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen appliances through regular cleaning routines
- Support kitchen staff by communicating effectively to ensure smooth workflow and timely service
- Adhere strictly to recipe specifications and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality
- 18+ years of age, as required to use certain equipment
Experience
- Proven background in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings demonstrating strong culinary skills
- Familiarity with menu planning, food handling, and safety standards in production environments
- Experience operating commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of knife skills, slicing techniques, and food safety management practices
- Ability to follow detailed recipes accurately while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen staff and team members
