We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Industrial-Technology Education Teacher to join our team at Dassel Cokato High School. The ideal candidate will inspire and educate students in the fields of industrial technology, engineering, and design, fostering a hands-on learning environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging curriculum and lesson plans that align with state standards and promote student learning in industrial technology and related fields

Teach a variety of courses, including but not limited to Basic Woods, Advanced Woods, Home Construction, Drafting, and Cabinets & Furniture

Create a safe and effective learning environment by establishing classroom rules, managing student behavior, and ensuring the proper use of equipment and tools

Assess student performance through assignments, projects, and exams, providing constructive feedback to support their growth and development

Collaborate with colleagues to integrate technology and interdisciplinary approaches into the curriculum

Organize and supervise hands-on projects, workshops, and extracurricular activities related to industrial technology

Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and educational best practices, incorporating relevant content into lessons

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to foster a positive learning community and address any concerns or challenges

Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to school initiatives and committees
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong knowledge of industrial technology concepts, tools, and practices

Experience in teaching or working with high school students preferred

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively

Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance teaching and learning

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology Education, Education, or a related field (Preferred)

Valid teaching license or certification in Industrial Technology Education for the state of Minnesota
