Responsibilities
- Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher or develop your own based on curriculum guidelines
- Manage classroom behavior to create a respectful, safe, and productive learning environment
- Support students’ social-emotional development through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies
- Utilize educational technologies and computers to enhance instruction and student engagement
- Communicate effectively with students from diverse cultural backgrounds and adapt instruction to meet varied learning needs
- Collaborate with school staff and teachers to ensure continuity of instruction and classroom routines
- Follow mandated reporting laws, school policies, and procedures related to student safety and well-being
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children or in educational settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and curriculum implementation across various subjects such as literacy education, math, and early childhood education
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to adapt instructional methods for different learners, including those with autism or special needs
- Excellent communication skills for parent-teacher interactions and team collaboration
- Familiarity with childhood development principles and working with students from diverse backgrounds
- Experience working in private schools or similar educational environments is a plus
- Proficiency with computers and educational technologies to support instruction
- Understanding of mandated reporting laws, school policies, and best practices in early childhood education
