Job Title: Inventory & E-Commerce Assistant
Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory & E-Commerce Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing online product listings, ensuring accurate inventory records, and supporting the smooth operation of our e-commerce platform. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will help optimize product visibility, improve SEO descriptions, and maintain an organized online catalog. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in e-commerce management, product listing optimization, and digital marketing within a dynamic online retail environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately entering and updating product information into Shopify or similar platforms
- Writing and enhancing product titles and SEO descriptions to improve search visibility
- Tagging products and organizing collections for easy navigation
- Uploading product images and checking for data entry errors
- Keeping online inventory organized and up to date
- Monitoring stock levels and performing regular stock counts to prevent discrepancies
- Collaborating with team members to optimize product listings and online presentation
- Supporting order processing by verifying product details and ensuring accurate data entry
- Assist with packaging, labeling, and preparing goods for shipment while adhering to quality standards.
- Assisting with inventory reconciliation and replenishment strategies
- Maintaining detailed records of all product updates, transactions, and inventory movements
- Supporting digital marketing efforts by updating product descriptions and SEO content as needed
- Keeping online inventory organized and up to date
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify or similar
- Strong computer literacy with the ability to learn new programs quickly
- Excellent attention to detail in data entry, writing, and record keeping
- Basic understanding of SEO principles for product descriptions
- Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions reliably
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members
- Prior experience in online retail or digital marketing is a plus
- Monitor stock levels and perform regular stock counts to prevent discrepancies and support inventory replenishment strategies.
- Maintain detailed records of all inventory transactions, incident reports, and shift logs for audit purposes.
Experience
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, and inventory management.
- Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms such as Shopify or similar, and inventory management software.
- Strong knowledge of shipping logistics, international trade regulations, and trade compliance standards.
- Basic math skills for counting, measurements, and data entry accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation purposes.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry and record keeping.
- Customer service mindset with the ability to communicate effectively across teams and external partners.
- Prior experience in order fulfillment, stocking procedures, or logistics roles is highly desirable.
Applicants must be computer literate, comfortable learning new programs, able to follow instructions, and reliable about showing up when scheduled. Strong spelling, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential. Shopify or e-commerce experience is preferred but not required.
This is a part-time position paying above minimum wage, based on experience.
Pay: $15.15 - $18.00 per hour
