Duties
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and support personnel, to ensure smooth daily operations
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet high standards of quality and consistency
- Manage inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining optimal stock levels for all food items and kitchen equipment
- Implement and monitor food safety sanitizing procedures in compliance with health regulations to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests
- Plan menus that balance creativity with cost control while catering to dietary restrictions and special event requirements
- Coordinate catering services, banquet functions, and fine dining events with attention to detail and excellent service delivery
- Supervise shift management, ensuring efficient staffing levels, timely service, and smooth transitions between meal periods
- Maintain a positive team environment through leadership, mentorship, and ongoing training in food production techniques and hospitality standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or as a head chef with strong supervisory skills
- Extensive culinary background including food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu planning in fine dining or catering environments
- Familiarity with banquet experience, dietary departments, and catering operations is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitizing procedures, inventory management, and cost control practices
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively while maintaining high standards of hospitality and service excellence
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to oversee multiple responsibilities such as shift management and inventory control
- Excellent communication skills coupled with leadership qualities that motivate teams toward shared success
