American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of experience and active licensure for a post-acute setting assignment.

Work in a post-acute care setting serving both inpatient and outpatient populations
-
Unit covers PT/OT/ST with an average hospital census of 150 in a 189-bed facility
-
Covers adult and geriatric patients for inpatient; outpatient caseload includes pediatrics to geriatrics
-
Diagnoses seen include orthopedic, neurological, medical, and pulmonary complications
-
Outpatient services are provided at an off-site location approximately 2.5 miles from the main facility
-
Uses upgraded Cerner EMR; prior experience is beneficial
-
Day shifts, Monday to Friday, 9:30 am – 6:00 pm (8-hour shifts); 10-hour shifts may be considered for travelers

Floating may be required within inpatient acute hospital settings
-
Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Physical Therapist in relevant settings
-
Active state or Compact (NLC) PT license required at the time of consideration; pending licenses will not be accepted

BLS (AHA) certification required

Must provide two professional references: one supervisor from the past 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years

Copy of driver’s license required for consideration

Responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of a diverse patient population in both inpatient and outpatient rehab settings

Work with a multidisciplinary team including PTs, OTs, STs, therapy aides, and therapy supervisors
-
General department orientation with skills checklist and an assigned clinician
-
Scrub uniform is required: burgundy polo or long sleeve shirt with black pants and shoes
-
No required holiday coverage

JCAHO certified for Stroke and TJP (elective hips and knees); participates in early mobility programs
-
Returning candidates may not have been directly employed by any affiliated facility within the past year
