Driver Manager – Southeast Region
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Weekend Rotation: N/A
Salary Range: $55,000 – $60,000 annually

Position Overview
Premier Transportation is seeking an experienced Driver Manager to oversee daily operations for approximately 35 trucks. This role is critical to ensuring driver performance, safety compliance, customer satisfaction, and on-time service delivery. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced trucking environment and brings strong leadership and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support a fleet of approximately 35 drivers/trucks
- Oversee operations across the Southeast region
- Monitor driver performance, attendance, safety, and compliance
- Serve as a primary point of contact for drivers and internal stakeholders
- Coordinate weekend coverage on a rotating schedule
- Ensure adherence to DOT regulations and company policies
- Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
- Utilize dispatch, GPS, and logistics software to manage daily operations
- Communicate effectively to resolve issues quickly and efficiently
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of prior Driver Manager experience in the trucking industry (required)
- Proven experience in trucking, logistics, or transportation operations
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, MS Office Suite, and Outlook (experienced level)
- Working knowledge of dispatch and logistics software preferred
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation laws strongly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional logistics or transportation training is a plus
- Strong customer service mindset
