Position Summary
Join our team as a Parts Counter & Inventory Associate, where you will be responsible for overseeing general warehouse duties such as receiving, stocking & distribution of trailer parts and accessories. This position ensures that the store maintains optimal inventory levels, parts are accurately tracked, and customers receive their orders promptly. Reporting & collaborating with the Store Manager, this role works closely with suppliers, technicians, and customers to deliver exceptional service and maintain optimal stock levels. Objectives:
- Assist customers at the parts counter by providing knowledgeable guidance on parts, pricing, and sourcing options.
- Process purchase orders & receive, inspect, and organize incoming & outgoing inventory and supplies.
- Coordinate with suppliers & shipping outlets to place procurement orders and ensure timely delivery of parts.
- Pick and pack orders accurately to ensure they are prepared for delivery or shipping.
- Maintain inventory records & levels and perform regular stock counts.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Assist with loading/unloading delivery vehicles.
- Maintain a clean and organized front office & warehouse environment.
Competencies
- Experience in other parts/warehouse counter sales positions.
- Knowledge of trailer systems, parts, & accessories & willingness to learn.
- Experience in warehouse management & or inventory control.
- Ability to operate forklift equipment safely.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, technicians, and customers.
- Experience with point of sale & inventory management software & Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Great team player with clear communication.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 to 75 lbs. regularly.
