Duties:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with menu planning and development
- Collaborate with the dietary department to ensure dietary restrictions and preferences are met
- Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a line cook or in a similar role in the food service industry
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently
- Proficient knife skills for food preparation
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings and weekends
