Live Stream & Breaking Operations Director
Location: In-Store / Studio (Live Streaming Operations)
Schedule: Full-Time | Flexible Hours | Evening & Night Stream Availability Required
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, driven, and highly organized Live Stream & Breaking Operations Director to oversee and manage all aspects of our sports card breaking and live-stream sales operations.
This leadership role is responsible for developing and executing live-stream strategies, managing break fulfillment, driving sales growth, overseeing inventory and shipping workflows, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience across all streaming platforms.
The ideal candidate combines strong sports card industry knowledge with operational leadership, sales expertise, and the ability to build and manage a high-performing breaking team.
Key Responsibilities
Live Stream Operations
- Oversee all live-stream breaking and personal box sales operations across multiple platforms.
- Develop stream schedules, promotional strategies, and sales initiatives to maximize revenue.
- Ensure streams maintain a professional, entertaining, and customer-focused experience.
- Monitor stream performance metrics and implement improvements to increase viewership, engagement, and conversion rates.
- Coordinate product releases, case breaks, auctions, and special promotions.
Breaking & Fulfillment Management
- Manage break execution from product intake through customer delivery.
- Ensure accurate tracking of teams, spots, players, and break results.
- Establish and maintain operational procedures for sorting, packaging, and shipping.
- Oversee quality control to ensure order accuracy and customer satisfaction.
- Improve workflows to increase efficiency and reduce fulfillment errors.
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Drive sales through strategic planning, promotions, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Analyze product performance and market trends to optimize pricing and break formats.
- Identify opportunities to increase average order value, repeat purchases, and customer retention.
- Collaborate on marketing campaigns, giveaways, loyalty programs, and platform growth initiatives.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, and manage live stream hosts, breakers, and operational staff.
- Create performance standards and operating procedures.
- Coach team members on sales techniques, audience engagement, and product knowledge.
- Foster a positive, accountable, and results-driven team culture.
Inventory & Business Operations
- Maintain oversight of inventory management and product allocation.
- Coordinate with purchasing and management teams regarding product availability and release planning.
- Monitor operational KPIs and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Ensure workspaces remain organized, efficient, and professional.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of sports cards, products, players, and market trends.
- Strong understanding of the sports card breaking industry.
- Proven leadership, management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Experience managing operations, sales processes, or live commerce environments.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Ability to work evenings and nights as required by live-stream schedules.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and results-oriented.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience hosting or managing live-stream sales events.
- Familiarity with Fanatics Live, Whatnot, TikTok Live, and similar platforms.
- Experience with OBS, Streamlabs, or other streaming software.
- Background in e-commerce, inventory management, or fulfillment operations.
- Experience leading teams in a fast-paced sales environment.
Compensation & Growth
- Competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000–$200,000, based on experience, qualifications, industry expertise, and proven results.
- In addition to base salary, the Director will earn commissions on net profits generated from any live streams they personally host.
- The Director will also earn commissions on net profits generated by live stream hosts, breakers, and sellers they recruit, train, and develop for the organization.
