Shift: Monday - Friday 3AM-1:30PM
$16.50/hr
Use chemically treated sand to produce sand molds for the production of aluminum castings.
Job Responsibilities:
- Produce sand molds according to requirements, using semi-automated machinery and tooling provided
- Maintain machinery, patterns, hand tools, and other equipment in good condition
- Maintain the Air-set mold line and surrounding work area in a safe and clean condition
- Learn the basic technical and chemical principles governing the operation of the Air-Set molding line
- Perform job function wearing proper PPE as designated by the company
- Able to safely and correctly operate hand and power tools and machinery, including forklifts, semi-automated material handling equipment, and overhead cranes
- Participate in training and continuing education
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Work overtime as required
Required Qualifications, Education, Skills and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED Or, relevant work experience
- Able to lift parts weighing in excess of 50 pounds (assistance when needed) and to work in a bending, standing, or squatting positions for long periods of time (excess of one hour)
- Effective communication skills: verbal and written (English)
- Follow written and/or oral instructions in English
Preferred Qualifications, Education, Skills and/or Experience:
- Pass forklift certifications and requirements to operate forklifts
