Duties
- Assist licensed plumbers with pipe installation, system maintenance, and repairs on construction sites.
- Prepare work areas by organizing tools, materials, and equipment needed for plumbing tasks.
- Handle hand tools and power tools safely during pipe threading, fitting, and assembly processes.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and building codes to support accurate plumbing work.
- Support welding and other mechanical tasks required for complex plumbing systems.
- Maintain safety protocols by adhering to site safety procedures and using personal protective equipment at all times.
- Help with remodeling projects and general handyman tasks related to plumbing and building maintenance.
Skills
- Construction experience with a focus on plumbing or related trades.
- Knowledge of construction plumbing systems, pipe installation techniques, and maintenance practices.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately.
- Mechanical aptitude with familiarity in welding, pipe threading, and power tool safety.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and understanding technical specifications.
- Strong customer service mindset when interacting with clients or site personnel.
- Understanding of building code compliance and safety protocols on construction sites.
- Experience with remodeling projects or handyman work is a plus.
