Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail‐oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA), with three or more years of experience, to join our team . The CPA will be responsible for executing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, conducting internal audits, and providing financial insights that support sound decision‐making for one of our government clients. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and adherence to Federal Accounting standards.
- Maintain general ledger accounts, reconciliations, and month‐end close processes.
- Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns; ensure ongoing tax compliance.
- Conduct internal audits and support external audit processes.
- Provide financial recommendations based on research and data analysis.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Monitor accounting processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, regulations, and internal controls.
- Communicate financial information clearly to internal stakeholders.
- Stay current on trends, regulatory changes, and emerging accounting standards.

Required Qualifications
- Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, FASAB, and regulatory reporting standards.
- Advanced Excel capabilities (Xlookup, PivotTables, etc.)
- Proficiency in enterprise accounting software (e.g., Oracle)
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem‐solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in public accounting or audit.
- CGFM Certification.
- Knowledge of industry‐specific accounting practices.
- Located in the DC/MD/VA area
- Experience with Data Analytics Tools such as PowerBI/Tableau, Python, R
Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
