We are seeking a dedicated Clamp Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating clamp trucks and related material handling equipment to efficiently load, unload, and organize products within the warehouse. Your expertise will ensure smooth warehouse operations, accurate inventory management, and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong forklift skills, experience with warehouse management systems, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate clamp trucks, reach trucks, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently to load and unload materials
- Handle order picking and pallet jack operations to fulfill shipping and receiving requirements
- Manage inventory movement using barcode scanning and warehouse management systems
- Assist in organizing warehouse distribution activities, ensuring proper storage and retrieval of goods
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or coordinate maintenance as needed
- Follow OSHA and forklift safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Support shipping and receiving processes by accurately loading, unloading, and documenting materials
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, materials handling activities, and equipment usage
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve overall warehouse operations
- Perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while adhering to proper ergonomic practices
Requirements
- Proven experience operating clamp trucks, reach trucks, forklifts (including Hi-Lo), pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems, barcode scanning technology, and inventory control procedures
- Familiarity with warehouse safety standards such as OSHA regulations and forklift safety protocols
- Strong understanding of materials handling, manual handling techniques, and heavy lifting safety practices
- Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and documentation accuracy
- Experience in shipping & receiving operations within a warehouse environment
- Ability to perform equipment repairs or coordinate maintenance when necessary
- Prior experience in warehouse management or supervision is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting
