UTHealth Houston's Neurology Department is hiring for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow is needed on the research team to provide biostatistical analyses for various research projects and clinical trials, provide database management, and assist faculty in the execution of research studies requiring data coordination and analyses. The position is intended to foster career development toward an independent biostatistician and future faculty career through advanced postdoctoral training in quantitative methodologies and the acquisition of new skillsets in clinical research. The fellow will learn advanced analytical approaches, clinical trial designs, statistical techniques, outcome measurements, and innovative research methodologies, while gaining experience in learning healthcare, comparative effectiveness research, and N-of-1 trials. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful clinical and translational research while developing the expertise necessary to become an independent researcher and academic leader.

Position Summary:
A biomedical postdoc position provides an opportunity for early-career researchers to gain valuable experience, develop independent research skills, and contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge in their field of expertise.
Position Key Accountabilities:
1. Plans and conducts experiments, analyzes data, and prepares publications describing results.
2. Assists in training and mentoring of lab personnel, including graduate students and other trainees.
3. Reads and evaluates literature.
4. Possess interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate and communicate with individuals at all levels.
5. Have strong written and oral communication skills.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.
