Job Summary
We are looking for an energetic and skilled Cook to join our team. In this role, you are both a culinary professional and an ambassador for our brand. You will prepare dishes right in front of our guests, answering questions, accommodating special requests, and delivering exceptional hospitality with a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities
1. Culinary Preparation & Execution
- Maintain an organized, pristine workspace before and during service.
- Cook and assemble menu items quickly and accurately according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Safely operate commercial kitchen equipment including grills, flat-tops, fryers, and knives.
2. Guest Interaction & Hospitality
- Greet guests warmly as they approach the cooking station or counter.
- Take orders, explain menu items, and describe ingredients or preparation methods clearly.
- Accommodate dietary restrictions and food allergies with care and absolute accuracy.
- Handle guest feedback or special requests on the spot with a helpful, friendly demeanor.
3. Food Safety, Sanitation & Presentation
- Adhere strictly to local health department regulations and food safety standards
- Maintain an immaculate, show-ready station; since guests can see everything, cleanliness is paramount.
- Monitor food temperatures regularly and rotate stock using the First In, First Out (FIFO) method.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a line cook, prep cook, or short-order cook. Experience in an open kitchen or front-of-house service is a major plus.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal communication skills. You must be comfortable talking, smiling, and multitasking while cooking under pressure.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods (8+ hours), lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a high-temperature kitchen environment.
- Pace: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining a calm, welcoming composure.
