Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across various vehicle systems including powertrain, electrical, suspension, and transmission.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on vehicles, including engine repairs (gasoline and diesel), transmission system repairs, suspension system repairs, and alignment services.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to accurately troubleshoot electrical systems such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and automotive electrical systems.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to execute repairs efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Service GM vehicles and other makes/models by performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake replacements, tire rotations, and vehicle inspections.
- Repair vehicle suspension systems, alignments, and wheel balancing to ensure optimal handling and safety.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience for every customer.
Experience
- Proven dealership or automotive repair shop experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Hands-on experience with automotive electrical systems, schematics interpretation, and the use of diagnostic tools.
- Mechanical knowledge across various vehicle components including engines (gasoline/diesel), powertrain systems, transmissions, and suspension systems.
- Familiarity with automotive wiring diagram interpretation and troubleshooting complex electrical issues.
- Experience working with vehicle maintenance schedules and performing routine inspections on diverse vehicle makes/models.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently with hand tools, power tools, and specialized automotive equipment.
- Strong customer service skills combined with technical proficiency to deliver high-quality repairs in a timely manner.
