Position Summary
TCL North America is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and service-minded HR Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources function. This role provides hands-on administrative support across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee records, HRIS administration, payroll and benefits coordination, compliance documentation, employee communications, and general HR operations.
The HR Administrator will work closely with the HR team and cross-functional partners to ensure HR processes are completed accurately, timely, and confidentially. This position will also provide general office and administrative support, including employee events, meetings, visitors, and workplace coordination.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys being hands-on, takes pride in accuracy and follow-through, communicates professionally, and is comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced corporate environment. HR AdministrationOperations

Provide day-to-day administrative support to the HR team across onboarding, employee records, payroll, benefits, compliance, employee engagement, and general HR operations.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee information in the HRIS and other HR systems.

Maintain organized personnel files, employee documentation, forms, trackers, reports, and HR records in accordance with company policies and applicable requirements.

Support employee lifecycle activities, including new hires, transfers, promotions, status changes, leaves, terminations, and offboarding.

Prepare and process routine HR documentation, employee forms, policy acknowledgments, and other required paperwork.

Assist with HR reporting, audits, compliance activities, and recurring HR processes.

Respond to routine employee questions and requests, providing information when appropriate and escalating matters to the appropriate HR team member when needed.

Support HR projects, process improvements, and other administrative initiatives as assigned.

Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion when handling employee information.
PayrollBenefits Support

Support payroll administration by maintaining accurate employee data and coordinating payroll-related updates and documentation.

Assist with payroll changes, including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, deductions, direct deposit updates, and other employee data changes.

Follow up on timesheets, missing information, and payroll discrepancies in coordination with Payroll, Finance, and HR.

Respond to routine payroll-related employee questions and coordinate with the appropriate internal or external resource as needed.

Assist with benefits administration, including new hire enrollments, eligibility tracking, employee changes, documentation, and employee communications.

Support annual open enrollment activities, including communications, meeting coordination, benefits materials, employee follow-up, and tracking.

Assist with documentation related to leave, disability, workers' compensation, and other employee benefit programs as directed.

Maintain strict confidentiality when handling payroll, compensation, benefits, leave, and other sensitive employee information.
OnboardingEmployee Lifecycle Support

Coordinate administrative aspects of new hire onboarding, including paperwork, HRIS setup, communications, orientation materials, and first-day logistics.

Partner with IT, Facilities, Payroll, Benefits, hiring managers, and other departments to ensure new hires have the information, access, equipment, and resources needed to get started successfully.

Assist with background checks, I-9 documentation, new hire forms, policy acknowledgments, and other onboarding requirements.

Support employee status changes and ensure appropriate HR, payroll, benefits, and internal records are updated.

Coordinate administrative aspects of employee offboarding, including documentation, system updates, exit process logistics, and follow-up.

Maintain organized and accurate records throughout the employee lifecycle.
OfficeAdministrative Support

Provide general office and administrative support, including greeting visitors, guest check-in, answering calls, mail distribution, office supplies, and shared workspace organization.

Coordinate meeting rooms, conference room setup, office lunches, HR meetings, employee meetings, and internal events as needed.

Support workplace readiness, office safety procedures, facilities requests, maintenance coordination, and vendor visits.

Assist with employee events, meetings, training sessions, and other company activities.

Provide additional administrative support to the HR team and office as needed.
Employee ExperienceCommunication

Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, HR events, training activities, and employee experience programs.

Assist with drafting, formatting, and distributing HR communications, reminders, announcements, and employee resources.

Help ensure HR communications and employee-facing materials are clear, professional, timely, and consistent.

Provide a friendly, approachable, and professional HR presence for employees and visitors.

Handle employee information and interactions with appropriate discretion, professionalism, and judgment.

QualificationsRequirements
Required / Must Have

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or a related field preferred.

2+ years of experience in HR administration, HR coordination, payroll support, benefits administration, recruiting coordination, office administration, or a related administrative role.

Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and follow-through.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional and service-oriented approach.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Experience working with HRIS, ATS, payroll, benefits, or other employee record systems preferred.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with employees, candidates, managers, vendors, and cross-functional partners at all levels of the organization.

Working Conditions:

This is an on-site position based in Irvine, CA.

Compensation: Salary ranges from $24 - $27 hourly
