Renaissance Academy is seeking dedicated and nurturing Elementary Teaching Assistants to support our elementary classrooms for the 2026-27 school year. We have multiple openings across grade levels. Teaching Assistants work closely with lead teachers to create a structured, supportive, and engaging learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Support
Assist the lead teacher in delivering lessons, small group instruction, and individualized support across core subjects.
Classroom Management
Help maintain a structured, positive, and focused classroom environment consistent with school expectations.
Student Supervision
Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other non-instructional periods.
Materials Preparation
Prepare instructional materials, organize classroom supplies, and support setup and breakdown for daily activities.
Data & Documentation
Assist with attendance, anecdotal notes, student portfolios, and other classroom records as directed by the lead teacher.
Communication
Communicate effectively with lead teachers, support staff, and administration regarding student needs and classroom observations.
Behavior Support
Implement behavior management strategies under the guidance of the classroom teacher and school administration.
Special Events
Support field trips, school-wide events, and extracurricular activities as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred
- Prior experience working with children in an educational, childcare, or youth development setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow teacher direction, maintain confidentiality, and work as part of a team
- Patience, dependability, and a genuine commitment to student success
Preferred:
- Experience in an elementary classroom environment
- Coursework or credentials in education, child development, or a related field
- Bilingual candidates (Arabic or Spanish) are encouraged to apply
