SUPPLEMENTAL PAY:
- Paid training
- $60 Daily Per Diem when over the road
- $30 monthly phone allowance
- 40-hour weekly guarantee
- $4,000 Sign-On Bonus (SPAB/SCHOOL BUS CERTIFICATE ONLY)
- $2,000 Referral Bonus – Bring a friend and get rewarded!
- A Sign-On bonus will be paid after 90 days and again after 9 months of employment. Please note that taxes will apply to the sign-on bonus.

SCHEDULE:
- Schedule: Monday - Sunday (Weekend availability required)

PAY RATE:
The hourly wage range that Lux Bus America reasonably expects to pay for the position in
West Sacramento, CA is
$29.40/hr.-$35.50/hr.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
A School Bus Charter Driver operates assigned vehicles to provide ground school bus transportation and motor coach services in San Jose, Bay Area and all of Northern California while honoring Lux Bus America's approach to business that starts with our commitment to safety, operational excellence, and customer service.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:
Safely navigate various routes through varied terrain and geographic areas.
Interact with clients, customers, sub-contracted drivers, and fellow company drivers onsite in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner.
Performs pre-trip transit vehicle inspections; identifies and reports safety concerns, defects and malfunctions, and other needed repairs.
Assists passengers requiring special assistance in a professional manner to ensure access for all passengers and promote passenger safety
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B (Required)
- Minimum 6 months experience operating vehicle “in-type” (similar to the prospective position) (Required)
- Minimum 2 Years of Commercial Driving experience (Required)
- SPAB (SCHOOL PUPIL ACTIVITY BUS) Certificate (Required)
- School Bus Certificate (Required)
- Clean driving record, K4-Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Passenger Endorsements (Required)
- Air Brake Endorsements (Required)
- Must be 25 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is required.
