Position Summary
The role of Graphic Artist is a highly creative, detail-oriented team member who supports a growing multi-state cannabis operator across retail, cultivation, manufacturing, wholesale, and managed services. Role is responsible for creating compelling visual assets that strengthen our brands, support sales, elevate the customer experience, and ensure consistent execution across multiple markets.
The role requires a strong eye for design, understands how to balance creativity with business objectives, while managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Design and produce high-quality visual assets for retail, wholesale, corporate, and brand initiatives.
Create digital and print-ready marketing materials, including:
Retail banners, menus, promotional graphics, and in-store signage
Website graphics, email assets, social media content, and digital advertisements
Billboards, event signage, trade-show displays, and outdoor advertising
Product packaging, labels, inserts, stickers, and point-of-sale materials
Sales decks, one-sheets, brand presentations, and wholesale collateral
Develop and maintain consistent visual identity across multiple brands, locations, and state markets.
Partner with marketing, retail operations, sales, cultivation, manufacturing, and executive teams to translate business needs into effective creative deliverables.
Prepare production-ready files and coordinate with print vendors, packaging vendors, and external partners as needed.
Ensure designs comply with applicable state cannabis advertising, packaging, labeling, and consumer-protection requirements.
Manage revisions, organize brand assets, and maintain a clear digital asset library.
Stay current on design trends, cannabis industry trends, and emerging creative tools.
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
Three or more years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in cannabis, CPG, retail, hospitality, lifestyle, or consumer brands.
Strong portfolio demonstrating brand development, packaging, print, digital, and campaign design.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
Experience designing for large-format print, packaging, signage, retail environments, and digital platforms.
Strong understanding of print production requirements, file preparation, color management, and vendor specifications.
Ability to prioritize competing projects, meet deadlines, and work independently in a remote environment.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, solution-oriented approach.
Familiarity with cannabis advertising and packaging regulations is strongly preferred.
Experience with motion graphics, video editing, animation, or digital content creation.
Experience using Canva, Figma, or similar collaborative design tools.
Photography, photo editing, and art direction experience.
Experience creating design systems and templates for multi-location teams.
Familiarity with menu platforms, e-commerce platforms, and social media content requirements.
This is a fully remote position. The Graphic Artist must be able to work independently while remaining highly responsive to internal teams across multiple states and time zones. Occasional travel may be requested for staff meetings, major events, retail openings, product launches, or brand activations.
