JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:
Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and heavy-duty equipment on customer vehicles. You will ensure our fleet remains operational, safe, and in top mechanical condition.
SALARY: $20.00 - $45.00 Per Hour Depending on Experience.

SCHEDULE:
- Full Time: Tuesday- Saturday
- Part Time: TBD
- Willingness to work weekends, overtime or on-call as needed.
LOCATION & TRAVEL:
- Shop : Reno, NV
- Mobile Mechanic Travel : NOT LIMITED To Reno, Sparks, Truckee, Tahoe, Carson City, Minden, Gardnerville and surrounding areas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel trucks, buses, or heavy equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
- Repair or replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and steering systems.
- Conduct safety checks and emissions tests in accordance with DOT and company standards.
- Maintain accurate records of services, repairs, and inspections.
- Use appropriate tools and equipment to complete jobs efficiently and safely.
- Work closely with other technicians and supervisors to prioritize and complete tasks.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment that complies with safety protocols.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate degree in diesel technology preferred.
- 4+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic or in a related role.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems or Automotive systems.
- Proficient in using diagnostic software and mechanical tools.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While preforming the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
- Work in physically demanding indoor or outdoor environments during all seasons.
- Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift).
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects and tools.
- Reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or lay on back.
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- ASE Diesel Certification or other relevant credentials.
- Familiarity with DOT and OSHA regulations.
- Creditable mobile experience a plus
- MUST HAVE OWN TOOLS

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
