Duties
- Assist sushi chefs with food preparation, including: trimming and cutting fish, vegetables, making sushi rice and other ingredients.
- Make sushi rolls, nigiri and sashimi.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, kitchen equipment.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Help with inventory management.
- Team work with kitchen staff.
Requirements
- Good hygiene.
- Excellent knife skills, able to lift 50 lbs of kitchen inventories.
- Knowledge of proper food handling and able to obtain a food handler card upon hiring.
- Basic culinary experience with an emphasis on sushi or Asian cuisine is preferred
Pay:
hourly rate plus tips
Pay: $17.50 - $32.00 per hour
