Rainier Clinical Research Center is a privately-owned clinical research center conducting clinical trials for pharmaceutical, biotech and device companies. We are currently seeking a PRN Temporary Clinical Research Assistant with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced work atmosphere.
The PRN Temporary Clinical Research Assistant acts as support staff for the Clinical Research Coordinator team. Duties may include:
- Assistance with clinical research studies which may include collection of blood or lab specimens for clinical testing and preparing specimens for shipment
- Data entry support which may include entering data onto paper or web-based electronic data capture systems and data query resolution
- Consenting of patients for research studies
- General clerical assistance for study protocols such as filing, photocopying, supply inventory, restocking supplies, answering phones and other clinic duties as dictated by the study protocols.
· Assist with scheduling subject visits. Track subject visits as required.
· Recruit/screen prospective study participants as needed
· Assists with upload and maintenance of study teams folders
· Complete EDC data entry. Resolve basic EDC queries
· Cleaning and restocking exam rooms. Unpacking/packing, storing, maintaining study supplies.
· Assist CRCs with maintaining study logs as needed
· Preparing patient charts for visits, including screening packets
· Preparation for monitoring visits (resolve all queries, ensure filing completed, pull charts)
· Complete study phone calls. Assists with other visits as directed.
· Review subject eDiary data for completion and re-education
· Labeling and copying IP as directed by CRC
· Sending and receiving record requests. Assisting with medical record review
· Filing back lab results
· Collecting patient vitals as needed. Complete interim visits with patients as appropriate.
· Assist with archiving closed studies if needed
· FST support, prepare participant meals, YSI, phlebotomy, device testing, uploads, insertions, removals & analysis
· Ensures sufficient supply of study kits. Process & ship labs in accordance with IATA guidelines
Requirements for this position include:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Phlebotomy (and IV) training and experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Time management skills and ability to prioritize workload
- Excellent computer literacy and ability to enter database information quickly and accurately
- Able to read and understand English sufficient to perform duties of the position
- Medical terminology and knowledge of medications preferred
- Medical Assistant Certificate or Bachelors of Science degree preferred
