Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our dynamic service team. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards.
- Repair or replace automotive electrical systems, auto body components, and welding as needed to restore vehicle integrity.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for mechanical repairs while adhering to safety protocols.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems efficiently.
- Service diesel engines and heavy equipment mechanics with specialized knowledge of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and air brake systems.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while maintaining high quality standards.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used for each vehicle serviced.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive systems including powertrain, suspension, brakes, electrical systems, and transmissions.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and schematics interpretation.
- Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair, ADAS technology, air brake systems, and alignment services.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems and auto estimating procedures is advantageous.
- Ability to work efficiently on both light-duty vehicles and heavy equipment mechanics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a strong attention to detail.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment through adherence to safety standards.
- Valid technical certification or relevant ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications are highly desirable.
