About Us
Founded in 2013, Secret RSVP runs hosted singles events built around our patented live-matching technology. We've hosted 140+ events across 7 cities in Canada and the US, and are now launching in Los Angeles, CA. Our events remove the awkward parts of meeting someone new — guests privately select who they'd like to meet, and our system quietly groups them together for fun, interactive games.
What we do
Our events bring together about 50 single professionals with a near-even gender split. Guests use the Secret RSVP app to browse profiles of other guests during the event and privately add the people they're interested in meeting to their secret guestlist. The app then invites everyone to small groups shaped by those secret connections for fun, interactive games.
Events usually run on weeknight or weekend evenings, once per month. Expect to commit about 4 hours of your time per event, including hosting, and event set up/tear down. You will work alongside a partner host. Training will be provided.

What we are looking for
You have at least 2–3 years' experience hosting events or trivia, and/or facilitating large groups of people. Experience hosting singles events or ice-breakers is an asset. You have outstanding organizational skills, are flexible and creative, bring a great customer service attitude, and, most of all, are passionate about helping people feel welcome and comfortable. You're proactive and can manage change on the fly.
You should be comfortable using technology to run the events: checking in guests on the app as they arrive and helping them with minor log-in issues. Strong public speaking and fluent spoken English are essential. Experience taking photos and videos and posting to social media channels such as Facebook and Instagram is desirable.
Description of this role
On the day of the event, you will greet and check in guests as they arrive, bring everyone together for ice-breaker activities, explain game instructions, run activities in small groups, capture testimonials and social media content, and help everyone feel comfortable with our unique event format.
Compensation
Compensation starts at USD$120 per event, plus a food and drink allowance. Parking is covered when you transport event materials.
