Position Summary
The Sales and Event Manager is responsible for driving event sales while planning, coordinating, and executing exceptional private events at The Vault of Scottsdale. This role combines inbound and outbound business development with hands-on event management, ensuring every client receives a memorable experience from the initial inquiry through the successful completion of their event.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated sales and event professional with a experience in catering, hospitality, and event planning who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building lasting client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Generate new business through proactive outbound sales efforts, networking, referrals, and community engagement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, event planners, hotels, convention groups, and community partners.
- Identify and cultivate new lead sources to increase private events, corporate functions, celebrations, and group bookings.
- Conduct venue tours and sales presentations for prospective clients.
- Prepare proposals, contracts, and event estimates while closing new business.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual group event production goals.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and accurately track leads and follow-up activities.
- Actively promote and sell Vault Motor Club social memberships as part of the overall guest experience and community engagement strategy.
- Assist in the development of membership sales opportunities through events, tours, networking, and client relationships to grow the Vault Motor Club member base.
Event Planning & Coordination
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of private events from booking through execution.
- Consult with clients to determine event needs, menus, timelines, décor, entertainment, room layouts, and special requests.
- Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown while maintaining high standards of service and hospitality.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in event planning, catering, hospitality, or venue management.
- Proven success in inbound and outbound sales and new business development.
- Experience generating leads and building long-term client relationships.
- Strong background managing all aspects of catering and event operations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and event management or CRM software preferred.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
