Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Painter to join our dynamic team, dedicated to transforming spaces with precision and creativity. As a Painter, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Duties
- Prepare surfaces thoroughly through sanding, scraping, cleaning, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and coatings using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, and spray equipment including airless paint sprayers and conventional spray systems
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and color schemes to accurately execute design specifications
- Use ladders, scaffolding, and other access equipment safely to reach high or hard-to-access areas while following all safety regulations
- Perform surface repairs such as plastering, caulking, drywall finishing, and masonry work to create smooth bases for painting applications
- Conduct surface preparation on construction sites by sanding, masking, and protecting surrounding areas from overspray or drips
- Execute specialized painting tasks including structural painting, industrial coating applications, restoration projects, and renovation work with precision
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling disposal of materials and cleaning tools after each project
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of construction estimating processes related to painting projects
- Strong understanding of color theory for effective visual color comparison and matching techniques
- Proficiency in residential painting methods along with commercial and industrial coating applications
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (airless and conventional), brushes, rollers, and scaffolding equipment
- Deep familiarity with construction site safety regulations including respiratory protection protocols and safety procedure adherence
- Ability to interpret technical drawings or specifications accurately for precise application of coatings
- Experience with surface preparation techniques such as plastering, caulking, framing carpentry, stucco application, and masonry work
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to coverage rates, and material estimations
- Knowledge of renovation processes including fixture installation, remodeling projects, maintenance tasks, and restoration efforts
- Hands-on experience with construction site operations including framing carpentry like trim carpentry or fixture mounting
- Ability to operate power tools safely while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship in all painting tasks
