Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
- Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as dusting, trash removal, window washing, and surface disinfecting to uphold cleanliness standards
- Operate floor care machinery including buffers and polishers to maintain shiny, well-kept floors
- Assist with industrial cleaning projects and specialized custodial tasks as needed for different facility areas
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting repair needs or safety hazards promptly
- Maintain cleanliness during shift changes by ensuring all areas are tidy and organized
- Follow safety procedures and use proper protective equipment during all cleaning activities
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles with a strong understanding of commercial or residential cleaning techniques
- Knowledge of floor care methods including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing surfaces
- Familiarity with custodial equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and cleaning chemicals
- Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks efficiently in various environments
- Experience with facilities maintenance tasks like minor repairs or painting is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions precisely
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
