Carolina Industrial Equipment, Inc. seeks an experienced Equipment Mechanic for its Charlotte, NC operation. Our products include industrial floor sweepers and scrubbers, electric and gas powered utility vehicles, municipal street sweepers, snow & ice control machinery, leaf control equipment and sewer cleaning equipment.
Our service technicians receive factory training and are expert in the repair of the products for which they are responsible.
Duties include:
- Pre-delivery inspections and setup of new equipment
- Analyze, evaluate, and effectively write diagnosis and recommendation of work to be performed in order to complete work orders
- Inspect vehicle systems, perform preventative maintenance, and diagnosis and repair of failed components on the vehicle’s body, chassis, and/or auxiliary systems
Requirements include:
- 4+ years of related experience
- High school education
- Mechanical aptitude and ability
- Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics
- Ability to diagnose and repair DC electrical systems
- Ability to diagnose and repair gasoline, LP and diesel fueled engines
- Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic systems

Service technicians provide their own tools; however, CIE provides major shop tools
