Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable CDL Class B Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for making daily local deliveries of stone, tile, and flooring materials to commercial construction sites throughout Boston, New York City, and Connecticut. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, punctual, and experienced with regional driving and material handling in a construction environment. This is a local position; all drivers will be home daily!
Key responsibilities:
- Safely operate a CDL Class B truck to transport materials to and from commercial construction job sites.
- Load and unload stone, tile, and flooring materials (using forklift, pallet jack, or by hand as needed).
- Verify orders and ensure materials are delivered accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain delivery logs, invoices, and any required documentation.
- Communicate professionally with management, warehouse staff, and job site personnel.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL Class B license (no endorsements required).
- Clean driving record and current DOT medical card.
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience (construction material delivery experience preferred).
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and handle materials safely.
- Familiarity with Boston, NYC, and Connecticut delivery routes a plus.
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently.
