Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and lead diverse after-school activities including arts and crafts, sports, theater, outdoor games, and educational games that cater to different age groups and interests
- Supervise children during activities to ensure safety, proper behavior management, and positive social interactions
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote respectful and inclusive play environments
- Maintain a safe environment by following first aid protocols, CPR procedures, and emergency response guidelines when necessary
- Collaborate with team members to develop age-appropriate curricula that support childhood development and youth engagement
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children’s participation and progress in programs
- Assist with setup and cleanup of activity spaces to ensure a welcoming and organized environment
Skills
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to motivate children and maintain order during activities
- Experience working with children in educational or recreational settings such as daycare, camps, or youth programs
- Knowledge of first aid procedures, CPR certification, AED operation, and safety protocols for emergency situations
- Background in special education or childhood development is highly desirable
- Proven ability to facilitate youth group activities, sports coaching, theater productions or outdoor work experience
- Excellent child supervision skills combined with patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for engaging young minds
- Team leadership experience with the ability to collaborate effectively within a dynamic team environment
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques tailored for early childhood education or youth development programs
